     Sammi Awards Nomination Process

The nomination process is a multi staged process that combines first level review by a local Nomination Committee, second level evaluation by interview panels and a final review by a Selection Committee from outside of Sammamish.

 1. The local Nomination Committee reviews and rates each nomination received, and compares it with the award qualifications.

2. Then the top 5 candidates in each category are forwarded to the Interview Committee for interviews with the nominees. A different group of interviewers is utilized for each category.

3. After the interviews, the members of the interview panels evaluate and present the top three candidates to the Selection Committee for the selection of the awardees.

As the Sammi Awards program grows, we receive more and more nominations each year. This year we received many outstanding nominations and as difficult as it is, we had to limit the number of the nominees who would be interviewed.

Often times we see people nominated in successive years, before their nominations are accepted and forwarded onto the interview stage. We strongly encourage nominations in consecutive years, if the nominee did not make the first round in the first year of nomination.
